EUROPE DAY

On May 9th we celebrate  Europe Day becuase it is the anniversary of the funding of the European Union.

This is an opportunity for our students to get familiarized  with our neighbouring coutries, the institutions, the culture, the maps, the flags, the languages...

It's also called Shumann Day, because Robert Shumann was one of the founding fathers of the European unity.

Every year a differet counrty holds the presidency of the European Union and has a motto.  This year it is "Recovery, strenghth and sense of belonging.""

This year, aside from the classroom activities, in  our school  we play a " European Music Game".  During one week, every morning we will receive our students with a traditional song from a random European Union country.  The student are given a sheet with the map of Europe and a list of five possible countries.  They will have to write the day of the week next to the song.  Previouisy, as a flipped classroom activity, at home they could investigate and listen to European traditional music.  This a way to motivate our student to become interested in knowing about our neighbouring countries.

This year we would like to share a song with you all, "Peace in my Fingers"  We are wearing all the colours of the rainbow to express that even though we may have different appearances, we all belong.  Every colour is necessary to make a beautiful rainbow.

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES 2021

Easter 2021

This year we had a fun Easter with our students.  The smaller children had an egg hunt in their playground dressed with bunny ears.  The older children had a science knowledge treasure hunt in teams: lambs, chicks, ducklings, calves and bunnies.  Here are some pintures of the treasure hunt and the prizes that were dontated by our AMPA.

Saint Valentine's Day

Cupid is a symbol of Valentine’s Day because he was the son of Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. Those cute little arrows he holds were actually magical arrows, believed to make those he shot fall in love.

But in our school we celebrated this day with acts of KINDNESS.  We are trying to fill our classmates´ hearts with happiness by doing nice things and by saying nice things.  We are trying to be "bucket fillers".

We made envelopes and wrote cute notes for our classmates to fill their emotional bucket!  We cant wait to open the envelopes!
